InOne Brand Alignment
From the 24th of February 2003, several companies in the Premier Farnell
Group will be going through a major brand alignment exercise. This means
that any representation of an affected company on a web site or other
media should be amended to reflect the new branding.

Which companies
are affected?
The current phase of brand migration affects the following Premier Farnell
companies:
Farnell
Farnell - Newark (in Brazil and Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore)
Newark
Buck and Hickman
MCM
CPC and Premier Farnell itself will remain unaffected.

Why are we changing?
- Platform to drive
and communicate change - internal & external
- Opportunity to
communicate recent success stories not yet perceived by customers and
staff
- Opportunity to
increase awareness and positioning of our brand
- Opportunity for
a stance against local competition
- Encourage common
processes and sharing between businesses
- Architecture for
future acquisitions, building our ability to deliver customer needs

When is it happening?
The new branding will be rolled out country by country to mirror the launch
of our paper catalogues, starting on the 28th of February 2003.
Any UK based websites (e.g. our UK-based suppliers) will need to amend their
own web sites on the 12th May 2003.
All our international distributors will need to amend their web sites on
the 17th March 2003.

What you will
need to change?
The necessary changes
will depend on the media used and the particular circumstances. The specific
things that will need to be updated are:
1 - Company logo(s)
2 - Company name(s)
included in any copy
3 - Web site URLs (web
addresses)
4 - Email addresses
5 - Any image reflecting
old branding
6 - Our corporate
colours
